Rare mid-century modern Picquot Ware "silver look" coffee and teapots. Made from a very strong alloy of aluminum and magnesium created in the 1940s to imitate polished silver. The handle is made from wood from the sycamore tree and the lid lifter is hornbeam. Marked on the base of the coffee/water pot is Picquot Ware J6 Made in England. Design created in 1949. (4 cups = 1 litre) The teapot is marked Picquot Ware and design is T4, produced in 1952. (3 cups = 750ml) No dents, surface shiny and bright. Minimal scuff wears from usage for items 70 years old. The handle is strong with no issues.
