This is a highly attractive and unusual tankard Royal Worcester. The whole is glazed in a pale brown shade; this appears lighter around the rim. The sides are decorated in dark brown with five thick circles, each contained within a fine ring. This is bordered above and below by a thick band of brown glaze. This band is repeated around the rim and the base. The whole has a glossy iridescent finish. The underside is marked in black with a stylized W and the words ‘ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN ENGLAND’. It has a height of approximately 18.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8cm. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
